Xiaomi Mi 5 Rumors: Multiple Photos Of Real Handset Surface, Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus Arrival Also Expected

Several images of the elusive Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone have surfaced. Also, the a larger variant called Xiaomi Mi Plus is expected to release with Mi 5.

A tipster from China has revealed a leaked photo of real Xiaomi Mi 5 handset which clearly shows its bezel-less design, Mobi Picker reported. The photo again confirms that the handset will not be coming with the rumored Qualcomm Ultrasound fingerprint scanner since it features a physical Home bottom below the screen.

The bottom side of the handset features a pair of speaker grilles and in between them a USB Type-C port can be seen. The handset will arrive preinstalled with the most recent Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. By looking at Home screen image on the display, it can be said that the Android 6.0 will be overlaid with MIUI software from Xiaomi.

Like other Xiaomi handsets, the Mi 5 will continue to sport three capacitive buttons. The handset which sports a metallic frame will be arriving with a thickness of 6.9, Android Headlines reported.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen. It will be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC. The 64 GB model of Mi 5 will feature 4 GB of RAM and the 32 GB variant will be coming 3 GB of RAM.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be featuring a camera of 21 MP. The front will be housing an 8 MP camera. A larger edition of the handset that is dubbed as Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus is also rumored to be under wraps.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus handsets are expected to get unleashed on Jan. 21. Finally, the device will hit the market by February 2016.
