'Deadpool' Movie Rumors: Sequel To Have A June 2017 Launch; New Trailer To Premiere On Christmas Day, Wolverine Cameo To Happen Soon? [VIDEOS]

New details on "Deadpool" have been revealed regarding a new trailer on Christmas day, Wolverine's cameo in the film and June 2017 launch date for its possible sequel.

"Deadpool" creator Rob Leifield teased comic book fans that a new "Deadpool" trailer could be shown this month as Leifield posted a photo on his Instagram account that shows Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) appearing in the ABC promo of the NBA.

Recent reported stated that the three trailers for "Deadpool" have already been classified as one of them could be used in the the IMAX trailer of the movie that will air during Christmas day. The new trailer is said to launch on ESPN during the Los Angeles Lakers vs Clippers game at 10:30pm PM PST, ComicBookMovie reported.

Reynolds has been busy doing his own promotion of the Merc with Map through the use of social media such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube etc. and 20th Century Fox recently launched the "Deadpool Core" marketing campaign which encourages anyone to sign up and join Deadpool's inner circle and see more insights about Wade Wilson's eccentric activities and users will receive emails containing all sorts of exclusibe content and awesom materials.

Aside from the new trailer and Deadpool Core launch, new rumors are making rounds that a possible sequel for "Deadpool" could be in the works soon.

Several reports claim that the producers and executives from Fox have been discussing a possible sequel for "Deadpool" and its said that film could replace the planned "Fantastic Four 2" release date spot on June 9, 2017 due to the first film's blockbuster failure and the fans will want more Deadpool in cinemas if the film became a huge hit, Youth Health Reported.

There are also reports that X-Men member Logan/Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) could appear in "Deadpool" as Jackman visited the set of the movie, which led the fans to speculate that the two will meet again during the course of the movie.

Both Wolverine and Deadpool appeared together in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" as former members of the black ops group, Team X and were experimented in the Weapon Plus program. The "Deadpool" film will have a different origin story, giving the character justice after fans expressed their disappointment on how the first Wolverine film became a disaster.

"Deadpool" will release in cinemas on Feb. 12, 2016.
