Early of 2015, Apple arrived with a secretive production laboratory in Northern Taiwan, and presently focusing on expanding new distinct display technologies.

Tech giant Apple is starting to introduce full screen pop-ups for the new iPhone 6S. The pop-up ads were introduced to older iPhone models every time they access the App Store.

The ad has a slogan than reads "Ridiculously Powerful." Two options are highlighted on the ad, Learn More and Upgrade Now. There is an option to skip to the regular App Store interface which can be accessed in the upper right corner of the screen.

Users of older iPhone models vented their frustrations on various social networking sites. Experts agree that pop-up ads are annoying and it is very unusual for a well-established company like Apple to introduce such marketing strategy.

According to 9to5Mac, this is the first time for apple to use modal overlays in order to encourage upgrades.

According to Apple Insider, the pop-ups appear to target owners of iPhone 5S or older model. Experts claim that it was enabled with the release of iOS 9.2.

The Cupertino-based company has previously marketed new devices on the Apple Store through banners and collections. However, this is the first time that the company introduced an ad that temporarily prohibits user from directly accessing the Apple Store. Full screen pop-up ads are usually common in third party apps.

Market analysts said that Apple's new pop-up ads are part of the company's strategy to push sales of the new iPhone. Apple considers the new iPhones as its most important device. Experts also consider the holidays as the most lucrative sales season.
