'The Witcher' is an action video game developed by CD Projekt RED.

"The Witcher 3" has announced a new holiday-themed mod contest, wherein the winner will get a real sword as the ultimate prize.

According to Game Spot, the contestants need to make any type of holiday themed element pertaining to any character of the game. They then need to upload it to Nexus mods and also contact CD Projekt Red.

Meanwhile the first images of "The Witcher 3" DLC Pack 2 "Blood and Wine" were recently released. Game developer CD Projekt RED recently released these official images through a tweet. The locations which can be seen in these images seem to be a lot different than those seen in the series till now.

The images showcase a new location, which is being called as Toussaint. Unlike the other regular cities which were seen thus far in "The Witcher 3," this particular city looks very bright and colorful.

Now, "The Witcher 3" is known to depict dark and dour world in its gameplay, making Toussaint feel like a breath of fresh air. Toussaint is also littered with beautiful villas and colorful flowers, and not the general the dark and foreboding castles and villages which are seen in the rest of the game's world, according to another report by Game Spot.

However, this pretty city will come with its own set of dark secrets. CD Projekt Red stated earlier the DLC Pack 2 of "The Witcher 3" will indulge in a carefree atmosphere and take the players to a place which is till now untainted with things like war and murder.

Blood and Wine will also introduce new items, weapons, and also new gear. It will also include new characters while bringing back old ones. The Blood and Wine DLC is also speculated to provide more than 20 hours of gameplay. The developers urge that this DLC should be treated like a full expansion of the game, and not just a mere DLC.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" new DLC will be released for PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2016.
