Premier League 2015-2016: Everton vs Leicester City, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

| Dec 15, 2015 05:45 AM EST

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy (C) and winger Riyad Mahrez (#26) scored the goals for the Foxes in their 2-1 win over Chelsea.

Struggling squad Everton FC (5-3-8, 23 points) face a tough 2015-2016 Premier League challenge on December 19th, Saturday as it clashes with current league leaders Leicester City FC (10-1-5, 35 points) at the Goodison Park.

Everton settled for a disappointing 1-1 draw with bottom three team Norwich City at the Carrow Road last Saturday to register their third straight drawn match and four of five overall, via The Guardian.

Striker Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring at the 15th minute of the game, but Canaries midfielder Wes Hoolahan was able to level the score two minutes into the second half to share the point with Everton.

It was actually all good for the Toffees as they had been unbeaten in their last six games, only that they could not climb up the league table because they only get a point during drawn matches.

Meanwhile, Leicester City pulled off a 2-1 win over defending champions Chelsea on Monday at the King Power Stadium, as reported by BBC Sport.

The Foxes got a huge opening boost from striker Jamie Vardy and winger Riyad Mahrez, scoring one goal apiece at the 34th and 48th minutes to give Claudio Ranieri's side a comfortable two-goal lead even with a lot of time left on the clock.

Chelsea never made a worrying retaliation, but substitute forward Loïc Rémy was able to net a consolation goal at the 77th to at least put the champs on the board.

It was Leicester's second consecutive win as they had been undefeated in their last nine outings.

The predicted result is a 3-0 romp for Leicester City. One team is going to snap its prolonged unbeaten run and it would be Everton.

Everton starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Howard; Coleman, Stones, Funes Mori, Baines; Cleverley, Barkley; Deulofeu, Barry, Koné; Lukaku

Leicester City starting lineup (4-4-2 formation): Schmeichel; Simpson, Fuchs, Morgan, Huth; Drinkwater, Mahrez, Kanté, Albrighton; Ulloa, Vardy
