Now, it's time for their flagships to compete with each other - Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and Apple's 4th generation iPad Mini, both launched in September. Design and Display: The 8-inch slim Galaxy Tab S2 measures 198.6 x 134.8 x 5.6 mm that features polycarbonate back, with Super AMOLED display and offer 320ppi. The tab appears in two variations - 250 gms of Wi-Fi model, and 7 gms heavier LTE. Its square rear camera is at top center, and oval home button is located below along with a fingerprint scanner.

The 7.9-inch screen iPad Mini 4 is slimmer that features aluminum back, with 1536 x 2048 resolution and dimension of 203.2 x 134.8 x 6.1mm. Two variants of the device include Wi-Fi variant that weighs 299gms and 3G/LTE variant that weighs 294gms. Rear camera is at top left corner, and home button with fingerprint scanner is located below.

Cameras and Batteries: Both devices include 8MP rear camera with LED flash that offers lively images. Tab S2 provides 2.1MP secondary camera, and can shoot 4K videos on flip side. It has a battery capacity of 4000mAh with almost 24 hours talk time.

The iPad Mini 4 covers 1.2MP shooter for its front camera, along with face detection and Face-Time on LTE and Wi-Fi models. This device offers battery capacity of 5124mAh that provides 10 hours of multimedia use.

Hardware: Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has 32GB and 64GB storage variants that can be extended up to 128GB. The tablet is supported by 5433 Octa-core processor 20 nm HKMG Exynos duo up with 3GB RAM.

The iPad Mini 4 presents 16, 64, and 128GB variants and features dual core Typhoon processor with speed of 1.5GHz, supported by 2GB RAM, and 20nm A8 chipset.
