"Pokemon" fans are set to end 2015 with a blast, as "Pokemon XY & Z" anime series gets two-hour special on Dec. 31.
The said "Pokemon XY & Z" is entitled "The Subete no Nazo wo Tokikase! Pocket Monster XY & Z Kanzen Master Special!!!" in Japanese, which is translated in English as "All Mysteries Explained! Pokemon XY & Z Complete Master Special." The special episode will air from 6:00 a.m. To 7:55 a.m. on New Year's Eve, according to TV-Tokyo Japan.
On Dec. 17, Thursday, Pokemon Company Japan uploaded a promotional video for the upcoming "Pokemon XY & Z" special. The clip opened with Kalos' ground dragon type legendary Pokemon Zygarde and it looked like it was angry.
The video also showed Ash and his Greninja fuse into Ash-Greninja. Also, fans will see Zygarde's 10 percent Forme unleash its power, a ground type attack, against the dark and steel type Bisharp. Also, fans will see Ash and his Greninja battle a trainer and his Sceptile using an amazing water type move.
The "Pokemon XY & Z" special will also feature Team Flare scientist Celosia and three other Team Flare grunts, as well as Team Flare leader Lysandre. Also, Ash and his Pokemon partners are going to meet Alain and his fire dragon type Mega Charizard in the special.
The "Pokemon XY & Z" special will air in two parts, according to Anime News Network. The first half will be a rerun of the "Pocket Monsters XY Tokubetsu Hen: Saikyo Mega Shinka Act IV," which is "Pokemon XY Special: The Strongest Mega Evolution Act IV" in English. It was originally released on Oct. 29, along with "Pokemon XY & Z" episode 1.
The second half of the "Pokemon XY & Z" special will be a recap of the "Pokemon XY & Z" series and it will investigate the mysteries that fans usually speculate. Some of these mysteries include Zygarde's hiding secret, Team Flare and Alain's plot, and Ash-Greninja.
Fans will also have a glimpse of some parts of the future storyline, such as clashes between Ash and Alain, as well as Team Rocket and Team Flare. The "Pokemon XY & Z" special will also see Serena take on the Pokemon Showcase (TriPokalon).
The "Pokemon XY & Z" anime series was released in Japan on Oct. 29 while "Pokemon XY" initially aired on Cartoon Network in January 2014. Watch the special promotional clip here:
