iPad Air 3 release date will happen in early 2016, according to an analyst.

KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, which holds high credibility when it comes with Apple rumors, predicted that iPad Air 3 will arrive in the first quarter of next year. The analyst added that the said tablet will not pack a 3D Touch technology found in iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.

Below are the top three reasons why iPad Air 3 release date is happening in the first quarter of 2016.

1. iPad Air 2, iPad Pro Discounts

A myriad of iPad Air 2 discounts were spotted at Apple and various retailers. iPad Air 2 was released for over a year, which explains the tons of discounts on the tablet. The tablet is available in Apple with educational discount for teachers and students. Retailers are also generous giving out deals.

Surprisingly, the new iPad Pro deals were also seen, which is quite unusual since the device was recently released. Apple is giving the iPad Pro an educational discount bringing the price of the tablet to $779, which is $20 less than the tablet's original price for the 32GB WiFi model. Education pricing is available to college students, students accepted to college, parents buying for college students, faculty, homeschool teachers, and staff at all grade levels.

Moreover, all four major US carriers are offering generous discounts to consumers who want to buy the iPad Pro under a contract.

2. iPad Pro Sales Is  Low

In line with the iPad Pro discounts, it is speculated that iPad Pro is suffering low sales. Apple's largest tablet is apparently not meeting the projected sales of the company. The sheer massive size of iPad Pro is reportedly to blame, which did not appeal to most consumers

3. iPad Line Needs An Update

The iPad line is badly in need of an update. The iPad Air 3 will greatly improve in comparison to iPad Air 2. There will be a jump in the specs and features in the latest iPad.
