Some people have not lost their hope and are waiting for the iPad Air 3 release date. A new rumor claimed that the third generation of iPad Air is bound for release in March 2016, but will be joined by the Apple's second take on 12-inch MacBook.
The latter will include a significant improvement of integrating a Retina display, which is already a standard feature in most Apple devices.
Previous rumors asserted that there is a possibility that the Cupertino-based tech giant will sack the iPad Air line due to the existence of iPad Pro and rumored 12-inch MacBook. iPad Air 3 may cannibalize the iPad Pro and 12-inch MacBook sales with its rumored specs and features.
The 12-inch MacBook will celebrate its first birthday in March next year and will most likely have a successor, MacWorld predicted. The report based its assumption to the fact that the laptop received praise as it is "an impressive machine". The aesthetic design of the device is also top notch with its familiar Gold, Silver, and Space Grey color options.
Meanwhile, International Business Times alleged that the upcoming iPad Air 3 will be thinner than its predecessor. It will boast the same 9.7 inch screen display, but with 4K resolution. Under the hood, the tablet is reported to be powered by the A9X processor paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
Other top of the line specs purported to be included in the anticipated iPad Air 3 are 3D Touch technology and water and dust resistance.
Despite its high caliber specs, iPad Air 3 is reported to be available in a pocket-friendly price starting at $610, which is way cheaper than the current iPad Pro.
