A male teenager killed another boy over what he thought was a racist "Gangnam Style" dance. The incident took place outside a shop in Gorton, Manchester.

"Gangnam Style" is a song by South Korean rapper Psy. Its music video became the first video to reach one billion views on YouTube in 2012. Currently, it is the most viewed YouTube video of all time with more than 2.2 billion views.

For the 16-year-old teenager, his South East Asian ethnicity was being ridiculed when the other boy, Jordan Brennan, a 17-year-old college student, broke into a "Gangnam Style" dance in front of him.

A brawl ensued and the victim fell back and hit his head on the metal shutters and the concrete floor. The attacker did not stop there; he continued kicking Brennan in the legs.

After the fight, the victim was not aware that he was suffering from bleeding on the brain when he walked home. The next day, his mother Kim found him dead.

According to Kim, her son was a "well-liked young man" and "a loveable rogue" who was "always polite and keen to help anyone who needed his help, be that physical help or just to listen to a friend."

The mother said her son would cheer his friend up with his usual "larking about or joking around." She added that it was a pleasure to have him as a son and described his death as a devastating loss.

Also, the victim's father Nigel Hatton said his son was smiling and very happy at all time. He added his son always listened to his mates and was a very good friend at school.

"You see this happen in the news to other people, but you don't expect it to happen to you," the father told Metro.

The unnamed attacker pleaded guilty to manslaughter and not guilty to murder. His latter plea was accepted.
