'Fast And Furious 8' Update: Cody Walker Fired From The Franchise; Paul Walker In Standalone Spin-Off Movie!

"Fast and Furious 8," the upcoming trilogy from "Fast and Furious" franchise is rumoured to include the flashback scenes of Paul Walker. Interesting thing to note is, there is no mention of Cody Walker off late.

On the official IMDB page of "Fast and Furious 8," Cody Walker's name has been taken down after lot of rumors of him appearing as a new character. Paul Walker's younger brother was also rumoured to play a new character but that too has not been confirmed yet.

It is rumoured that to bring back Mia Toretto's character back in the franchise, "Fast and Furious 8" might utilize on previous Paul Walker's character Brian O' Connor's scenes. Also, it is being speculated since the announcement of spin-offs and sequels that Paul Walker might get his CGI-equipped, which will have Cody Walker at play.

Mentioning about the spin-offs and prequel of "Fast and Furious" movies, in an interview with Variety, Vin Diesel informed fans that particular character stories are written out since long and they just have to execute them in spin-offs and prequels.

Fans are really excited to see more from Vin Diesel and crew but will they be able to make that long without Paul Walker?

The actor as of yet did not really shed a light regarding which actor is going to get the standalone films of their own or how exactly they are going to present Paul Walker's character. Dwayne Johnson, in the past has already shown interest in it by hinting that he would like to see his character, agent Luke Hobbs of Diplomatic Security Service, having the adventure of its own.

Chairman of Universal Pictures, Donna Langley also confirmed expansion of "Fast and Furious" franchise. Langley has not announced any actors yet but says that anyone can be brought in and anyone can be asked to bid goodbye.

Tyrese Gibson, who will be playing the character of Roman Pearce in the upcoming "Fast and Furious" franchise, told Toronto Sun that he would love to see "Bourne" star Matt Damon as part of new sequels. The franchise is trying hard to achieve the success as "Fast and Furious 7."

Also, Vin Diesel is giving special attention to fans' choice for the upcoming trilogy. He personally responded to Helen Mirren's cast rumor and said that he would love to see her onboard. As for Deepika Padukone, it is still not known. Padukone had been approached in the past too for "Fast and Furious" franchise.
