‘Street Fighter V’ Updates: Game To Support Steam Controller, Steam OS; Beta Version Released Over The Weekend [VIDEO]

Street Fighter V (ストリートファイターV Sutorīto Faitā Faivu?) is an upcoming fighting video game produced by Capcom, which co-developed the game together with Dimps.

Capcom announced that the PC counterpart of "Street Fighter V" will support Steam OS and Steam Controller after it launches early 2016.

The game developer said on its community website that they are working in collaboration with Valve to give fans this extra option. The comment section received positive feedback, with some fans already looking forward or even requesting other games to emulate "Street Fighter V."

Meanwhile, a beta version of the game was released on Dec. 18 to 20, where gamers received the first attempt on the latest addition. The beta version was the third and most probably the last one before the game's launch.

In a different report from the same website, the beta version saw players playing with six playable characters including Cammy, Ryu, Necalli, Birdie, Nash, and Laura.

In addition, the beta version featured six modes for trial including the Ranked Match (gamers plays in high stakes bout), the Casual Match (players fight in a more informal and relaxed manner), the Training (gamers practice and hone their expertise), the Capcom Fighter Network (players customize their characters through diverse profiles and configurations), and the Options (gamers tinker with the sound and screen setting).

According to the fan comments, players who attempted it over the weekend had some hardship in either connecting to the Steam or accessing their favorite mode. As a result, Capcom has to address the issues for the Steam Operating System and Steam Controller to have smoother runs come 2016.

The developer company, however, confirmed initially that the updates for "Street Fighter V" will be free, whereas the DLCs may be acquired through the currency used in the game. The game will feature 16 new playable characters from a combination of old-time favorites and new characters.

"Street Fighter V" is slated for a Feb. 16, 2016 release on PS4 and PC. Watch the clip below for more information.
