Following the launch of the Steam Winter Sales, the platform was riddled with tech issues.

PC players are in for a treat as Valve's last major sale for 2015 has finally gone live. From major titles to major discounts, this new sale has hyped up fans, thanks to its staggering number of games on sale.

The Steam Winter Sale is now ongoing over at the official Steam website. However, there is a major change this time around as the company has removed the Featured and Daily deals that normally run during a Steam sale.

For those who are not familiar, Featured and Daily deals bring more discounts to specific games at specific times and dates, US Gamer reported. That means discount on top of an already big discount, but with the catch of fans waiting for the discount to hit. Now, players can already check out the games they want before the sale ends and buy it, without the fear that it can be sold at a lower price during the old Featured deals system.

Of course, this does give the players a wide array of choices for the Steam Winter 2015 Sale-and for good reason. Valve is offering almost 10,000 games on discount for its last major sale this year. The discounts are also not to be scoffed at.

The likes of "The Witcher" franchise offers anywhere between 57 to 85 percent discounts, and these include "The Witcher Trilogy," "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" and "The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut." Other franchise deals worth checking out on the Stream Winter Sale include "Might & Magic" and "The Elder Scrolls."

The latter franchise offers "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" The Legendary Edition. This, alongside "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" Dawnguard, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" Dragonborn and "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" Hearthfire are all discounted at 75 percent.

Apart from the discounted titles, fans can also get free Steam trading cards just by going through the discovery queue. The trading cards can be made into a badge that will grant Steam XP, community rewards and other items, as detailed over the official Steam website.

Interestingly, there is also a webcomic offered during the Steam Winter 2015 Sale. Instead of a daily deal, it appears that Valve opted for a daily comic, with one page rolled out every day. The comic is titled "Gingerbread Jake In North Pole Noir." There is even a North Pole Noir Sale badge, which can be obtained once an individual collects the entire set of the special North Pole Noir cards. This badige will give players access to an emoticon and a profile background.
