The HBO series "Game of Thrones" season 6 release date is in April 2016.

Set to premiere in April 2016, "Game of Thrones" Season 6 will reveal whether or not Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is still alive. The upcoming season of the hit HBO series were shot in various countries including Croatia, Iceland, Ireland and Spain.

Here are 10 recommended places in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 filming locations fans can visit while waiting for Jon Snow's fate:

1. Sibenik, Croatia

This is where "Game of Thrones" Season 5 episode 2 titled "The House of Black and White" was filmed. It is where the free city of Braavos is located and it is where Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is training as an assassin, India Today has learned.

 2. Trsteno Arboretum, Croatia

This is a small Croatian village right next to the sea. It is the location of the Godswood where Sansa Stark mourns her dead family and is where Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) roam around.

3. Vatnajokull, Iceland

This is the largest glacier in Europe. It is the location of the North of the Wall where Jon Snow went through many actions before having a successful pact with the Wildlings in "Game of Thrones" Season 5.

4. Alcazar de Sevilla, Spain

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this royal palace originally built by Moorish Muslim kings is the location of the Water Gardens within the Kingdom of Dorne with the Martells' private palatial residence.

5. The Dark Hedges, Northern Ireland

Located in Balleymon town of Northern Ireland, this avenue of beech trees planted by the Stuart family in the 18th century is the location of the Kingsroad where King Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) rode with Lord Ned Stark (Sean Bean) on their way to the King's Landing.

6. Mussenden Temple and Downhill beach, Northern Ireland

Sitting on the top of a cliff and overlooking the Downhill beach, the Mussenden Temple is the location of the Dragonstone Beach where Melisandre (Carice van Houten) burned the old gods while Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) was drawing a sword from the flames, The Lightbringer.

7. Tollymore Forest Park, Ireland (Forests in the North)

Located at the foot of the Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland, this is the location of the forests in the North where Ned Stark and his sons found the Direwolf pups in "Game of Thrones" Season 1.

Kristian Nairn, who is set to reprise his role as Hodor in "Game of Thrones" Season 6, is a native of Belfast in Northern Ireland, where the upcoming season of the HBO series was filmed. Here are his three favorite spots in his hometown fans can also visit:

8. Coffee Den, Belfast, Northern Ireland

This coffee shop is perfect for gay "Game of Thrones" fans because it is located in the middle of the "gay village" on Union Street. Nairn told Out that it is "a tiny one-off coffee shop, and an answer to Starbucks."

9. Courtyard Cinema at White's Tavern, Belfast, Northern Ireland

According to Nairn, this place is about 300 years old and is the oldest bar in Belfast. It is his favorite hangout and it has an outdoor courtyard where they host movie watching twice a month.

10.  Zen, Belfast, Northern Ireland

This is great for Asian "Game of Thrones" fans. Nairn said it is the first Asian restaurant in Belfast and it brought Japanese food to the city.
