The 2015 Miss Universe Pageant

"Miss Universe" 2015 host Steve Harvey recently poked fun on himself for the huge error he committed during the final round of the competition.

Just before the winner was announced, Harvey misread the cue card that said Miss Universe Philippines 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was the winner.

Harvey revealed that Miss Colombia won the competition, but he later took back his statement and confirmed that he made a mistake.

Now, the comedian who already apologized to both Miss Philippines and Miss Colombia made light for the situation via his Instagram account.

"Merry Easter y'all," he wrote alongside a photo of him and a huge wreath.

Harvey was obviously that people were celebrating Christmas and not Easter, but he decided to make it look like he made the wrong greeting.

Meanwhile, the Miss Universe organization recently accepted Harvey's apology, and said that the funnyman may still return to the show to host it next year.

Mark Shapiro, the chief content officer of WME IMG appeared on the "Jim Rome Show" where he talked about Harvey.

"He was funny, he was informative, he's high energy, he's got a great following. I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He's going to want a shot to redeem himself," he said.

Shapiro added that the entire world will eventually forgive Harvey for the honest mistake that he committed on coronation night.

"The world forgives, the world forgets. It could happen to the best of us. He was so well intended, and he's such a good guy, and it was really such a mistake that I hope people don't hold this over him other than just for a good laugh and let it pass," he added.
