Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has arrived for LG G3 users.
In November, rumors started swirling that Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will be available for LG G3 users by middle of December. The roll out of the Android M update has finally stated, GSM Arena reported.
The Android M is now currently available for LG G3 users in Poland. The publication added that the news about the Android 6.0 roll out was revealed by a tweet from Jarsolaw Bukowski, an executive from LG Poland. However, the tweet is no longer accessible as it has been deleted.
LG usually tests it software updates by releasing it first in Poland. After receiving positive feedback from users in Poland, the update is made available to users across the globe.
The South Korean tech giant followed the same strategy for releasing Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for LG G4 users. In October, LG announced the arrival of Android 6.0 update first for users in Poland and later on for worldwide users through an official press release.
The other handset that is currently receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is Sprint LG G Stylo. Sprint has rolled out the version LS770ZV7 for LG G Stylo users. Since it is an OTA update, the notification of its arrival will show up automatically.
In case the update notification does not show up, users can check it for manually by going to Settings > About Phone. Users are required to be aware of the fact that the update is being rolled out in phases. Hence, it will may take some more time for all the LG G Stylo owners on Sprint to receive the update, Phandroid reported.
