‘Nashville’ Season 4 To Be Cancelled By ABC?

| Dec 31, 2015 08:39 AM EST

Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, two of the stars of the new drama series ''Nashville'' speak during a panel discussion at the Disney-ABC Television Group portion of the Television Critics Association Summer press tour in Beverly Hills, California.

"Nashville" is reportedly in danger of being cancelled after season 4.

According to TV Line's score card for 2016, the once hit ABC show may be cancelled due to its low ratings.

Back in season 3, fans already wondered whether or not the show will be renewed especially after it could no longer provide them with interesting storylines.

The series went on an early midseason hiatus on Dec. 9 with "We've Got Nothing But Love To Prove," and even the finale episode didn't fare well among fans.

"It's ratings continue to be as quiet as its buzz (a fact made more obvious in the wake of 'Empire's' breakout success). Although down a tick versus its prior season average, and despite hitting series lows (4.7 mil/1.3) on Feb. 18, the show has grown every week since then," the publication noted.

However, it seems that it's still too early to tell whether or not "Nashville" will be cancelled after season 4.

What is only known is that the second half of the season will air when the series premieres on ABC next year.

In other news, according to Spoilers Guide, Deacon and Rayna will wed in the March 2016 episode of "Nashville" season 4.

"After a short time jump, Rayna and Deacon will walk down the aisle this March," showrunner Dee Johnson said.

Johnson added that there's a chance Rayna and Deacon will have some famous friends attend their wedding celebration.

"While the event might not be the Luke Wheeler-style extravaganza we saw planned last season, there's a good chance there'll be some famous friends - and familiar faces in attendance," Johnson said.
