Vivid Dough Sculptures Welcome Year of the Monkey

Artist Li Jinguo modeled these vivid dough sculptures of monkeys for the upcoming Spring Festival.

Li Jinguo, an artist from Rizhao in Shandong Province, created a series of dough sculptures for the upcoming Year of the Monkey based on the theme A Hundred Monkeys Embrace Spring Festival.

As part of an intangible cultural heritage program, the artworks took one month to design and two weeks to make. Li used 5 kilograms of flour.

The 100 vivid monkeys, made in various forms and expressions, symbolize a lucky and happy Year of the Monkey.
