TCL X1 65” series puts together the best picture and sound quality, function and design.

TCL, the world’s third-largest TV manufacturer and Chinese electronic giant, has released a new QUHD product line. The X1 TV is expected to arrive in the U.S. market in the second half of this year.

The new line, which was presented at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, sports Dolby Vision, the high-dynamic range (HDR) technology from Dolby Laboratories, and Quantum Dot technology for advanced color resolution and clarity.

According to China Daily, the vice president of TCL multimedia and general manager of overseas business center, Warren Wang, said that the TCL X1 65" series puts together the best picture and sound quality, function and design, which are four major aspects that clients love.

The new series represents the company's first move to target the upscale market in the United States. Wang added that it is also part of TCL's worldwide strategy to establish the brand.

TCL X1 TVs come with an Ultra High Definition (UHD) 4K display and TCL 4K Creative Pro up-scaling, which allows viewers to enjoy the latest content in detail and realistic clarity, China Technology News reported.

The new product line features a color space powered by Quantum Dot technology, the first technology adopted by the company in 2013. The X1 series will enhance the level of dynamic contrast and precise control of light and dark for better color resolution and clarity because of its up to 1,000-unit peak brightness and 288 zones of direct-lit LED local dimming.

Meanwhile, Dolby Vision HDR gives up to 40 times brighter images than standard TV sets. The technology also has deep darks that offer a new level of richness and precision, and expanded contrast while still maintaining great color and detail.

Roland Vlaicu, the vice president of consumer imaging at Dolby Vision, said: "We are happy to partner with TCL. I think for TCL, the benefit will be the Dolby Vision ecosystem and the broad adoption of the content and format in a sense that we have strong support from studios, including Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures, and Universal Studios, which all bring Dolby Vision titles to homes."

TCL and Dolby are also working closely with major streaming service providers like VUDU to give the new X1 Series access to the latest 4K Ultra HD premium content.
