Speculations are high on the next "Chronicles of Narnia" sequel movie set to be a reboot, after the three movies which were adapted on the first three books of the series "Chronicles of Narnia" were not successful.
In spite the impact of the books had on fantasy literature of modern English, they could not make an impression in the form of movies, as reported by various sources.
According to news reports, the rights of the "Chronicles of Narnia" books were sold in 2013 by the company who had made the movies, and since then, the ball has been set rolling for the adaptation of the fourth book.
Going by a tweet sent by David Magee of "Finding Neverland" and "Life of Pi," it is learnt that the first draft of "The Silver Chair" has been completed by him. Although it was an unofficial update, Magee went on to say that he was happy to bring an official update on the progress of the film being produced by Mike Gordon.
The latest news is that Collider, along with one of the producers Mike Gordon, said that the project is very much alive after coming out of the TCA Press Conference in Los Angeles. They also said that they were excited to be able to complete the movie very shortly.
Being questioned about whether the film would have returning cast, they said that there will be a completely new cast. This means that the role of Asian will not be played by Liam Neeson and neither would Poulter and Barnes return.
This venture by the two partners is going to pitch "The Silver Chair" as a new beginning from the fourth book in the seven book series. Fingers are crossed on whether the next "Chronicles of Narnia" sequel movie is set to be a reboot or not.
