The "tampon scene" of the phenomenal "Fifty Shades of Grey" will not be included in the movie, Sam Taylor-Johnson told the Variety.
The "50 Shades of Grey", E.L. James bestseller that featured Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, will not feature the most-talked about "tampon" love scene.
Sam Taylor-Johnson, the movie's director, revealed through an interview with the Variety that the scene did not make it the many "hot" scenes of the movie. This talked-about scene is one of the most memorable moments of Anastasia, played by Dakota Johnson, and Christian, to be portrayed by Jamie Doman.
"Should 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie show the book's unforgettable sex scene?" the MTV asked in the summer of 2014.
In response, the producers have revealed that they decided not to do it. Michael De Luca, the movie's main producer said, "The book had to do it so you could imagine yourself as Ana- that made the book successful." He added, "Most of it was made literal, but the movie need not do that. This is a different medium."
De Luca added that the most intense sex scene between Ana and Christian will be the first book's last encounter. "The scene which we have talked about intensively is the 'final' scene. It is where Ana asks Christian about how bad could things be," De Luca said.
The author E.L. James has approved the adaptation, through a few parts was toned down. "'Fifty Shades of Grey' is, basically, a romantic love-story, so the 'sex' is only a portion of it."
"Fifty Shades of Grey" will hit theaters on Feb. 13.
