New "One Punch Man" season 2 details will feature Garou as the main villain, a December launch date and a new OVA focusing on Sonic's training against Saitama.
Anime Series creator Yusuke Murata confirmed that "One Punch Man" season 2 will be in the works soon as he stated that he will work hard for anime fans in order meet their expectations. The supposed launch date for the anime is speculated on December, however, it is theorized that it will take approximately 6-9 months or 1-2 years to finish one anime season, The BitBag reported. This means Yusuke and his team will have to work fast like making over 100 sketches, pages, editing and storyboards.
Several reports claim that season 2 of the hit anime series will focus on a new villain, Garou as he is set to attack the heroes and possibly face the main protagonist Saitama.
In the manga, Garou is a former disciple of S-Class Rank 3 hero Silver Fang and a powerful martial arts expert. A troubled youth who has rooted for villains rather than heroes, Silver Fang took him in and taught him his signature martial art technique, the "Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist". Silver Fang explained that Garou took out most of the students in his dojo and had no choice but to exile him, because of his uncontrollable nature.
He has train and learn new techniques from different opponents and will use it against the Hero Association. At some point Garou will encounter Saitama and marked him as archenemy of sorts.
In othe news, a new OVA for "One Punch Man" will feature Speed-o'-Sound Sonic training in the mountains.
Titlted "The Ninja Who is Too Complicated", several photos have already been leaked online and the plot of the OVA will center on Sonic retreating from the mountains as he trains and prepares himself for another encounter with Saitama after his humiliating defeat in episode 4, Crunchyroll reported.
Sonic is one of the recurring characters in "One Punch Man" as a ninja assassin and self-proclaimed rival of Saitama. The OVA will be included in the volume 3 set of "One Punch Man" and will launch on Feb. 24.
