Cellar-dweller Aston Villa FC (3-15-7, 16 points) will try to string two consecutive victories for the first time in the 2015-2016 Premier League season as they host reeling squad Liverpool FC (9-8-8, 35 points) at the Villa Park on Feb. 14th, Sunday.

The Villans is currently experiencing some form of resurgence as the team had been unbeaten four of their last six outings, winning two and drawing two in the process. Still, they have not gotten out of the bottom of the standings as they are currently four points behind Sunderland AFC.

Their previous match is an impressive 2-0 victory of newly-promoted team Norwich City, who had lost five straight matches, also at the Villa Park last Saturday, as per SkySports.

Vice-captain Joleon Lescott opened the scoring right at the halftime mark while teammate Gabriel Agbonlahor scored a second goal six minutes into the second half to seal the win for Rémi Garde's side.

The win kept Villa's hopes of escaping relegation to the Championship next season alive.

Meanwhile, Liverpool and new manager Jürgen Klopp continues to struggle as they are winless in five of their last six matches.

Their latest match is a disappointing 2-2 draw with bottom-three club Sunderland AFC at the Anfield on Tuesday, a game in which the Reds are highly-favored to win, via BBC Sport.

Both teams went goalless in the first half of the match until Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino found the back of the net for Klopp one minute before the hour mark.

English midfielder Adam Lallana scored another one at the 70th minute to give Liverpool a 2-0 lead and a chance to score their first win after two winless tries.

However, the Black Cats were not giving up as the team scored two late goals, courtesy of midfielder Adam Johnson and striker Jermain Defoe at the 82nd and 89th minutes, to make it 2-2 and share a point with the hosts in the overall standings.

The predicted result is a bounce back 2-1 victory for Liverpool over Aston Villa.
