According to several reports, the Surface Pro 4 has a below-average battery life. On the other hand, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to have a longer battery life.
Fingerprint Scanner
It is expected that the upcoming Surface Pro 5 will have a fingerprint scanner installed on it. Owners find it hard to access the fingerprint scanner in the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 that is embedded in the keyboard that owners do not always carry with the devices.
Light Weight
According to a Bitbag report, the new Surface Pro 5 will weigh lighter than the Surface Pro 4, which weighed 1.76 lbs.
Rechargeable Stylus
Rumor has it that the tech company may include an innovative stylus pen in the upcoming device. The stylus is expected to be powered by a rechargeable battery.
The stylus pen will be charged from a magnetic portion of the device that will also serve as its dock. Speculations are doing the rounds that the pen will have one terminal that is made from ferromagnetic material for charging.
The Surface Pro 4 stylus pen is battery-operated, but it cannot be recharged. The company aims to enhance functionality and portability of the Surface Pro 5 by including a rechargeable stylus battery.

The Surface Pro 4 has 128GB of internal storage that owners can expand via a microSD card slot. The Pro 4 sports an 8 MP rear-facing camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera for selfies.
The tablet, which runs Windows 10, weighs 766 grams. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 measures 292.10mm x 201.42mm x 8.45mm.
Connectivity options of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Sensors on the Pro 5 include ambient light sensor, gyroscope and accelerometer.
