While "Game Of Thrones" season 6 is set to premiere in a couple of months, HBO seems to be doing a good job of keeping the anticipation level high among its fans. The network aired a teaser of the show on Feb. 14, Sunday, much to the surprise of unsuspecting fans which has further increased the suspense regarding the course of the upcoming season.

Although a leaked version of the video was floating around the internet for the past couple of days, HBO released an official HD teaser for "Game of Thrones" Season 6 during the splashy two-hour premiere of "Vinyl." The one-minute video shows the House of Black and White, where Arya Stark (Maisie WiIliams) was putting up in the last season to receive assassin training.

As the teaser starts, several lifeless faces of the dead characters are shown planted on the wall of the house. While the start of the trailer shows already dead characters, including Arya's parents and oldest brother Robb, King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), the eerie ending surprisingly features the faces of characters from across the Seven Kingdoms that are still very much alive, including Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Arya herself.

While some fans believe that the teaser is showing the possible fate of the characters during season 6, another fan theory has emerged that the teaser is nothing but Arya's vision and is not an actual footage of the upcoming season, Vanity Fair reported.

Meanwhile, "Game Of Thrones" Twitter account released some 20+ images, including debut glimpses of a couple of new faces in Westeros along with the first image from the new season of many returning favourites. Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), who was shown jumping off the Winterfell castle wall, is shown here very much alive and well for the first time in the pics.

"Game Of Thrones" season 5 famously ended in a cliffhanger with fans being left in utter shock when one of popular characters, Jon Snow was shown almost dead after being stabbed by Night's Watch brothers.

Although Snow's face again appears in the recently released trailer as a departed character, fans reportedly refuse to believe that the beloved warrior is dead. Earlier during an interview given to Digital Spy, Harrington had emphasized that the viewers should get used to the idea that his character is dead.

Fans of the show still have a couple of more months to speculate as "Game of Thrones" Season 6 premieres on HBO on April 24. Check out the trailer below:
