While the release date for "Person of Interest" (POI) season 5 is still unknown, the previous statement from CBS indicated that the sci-fi drama will be among its spring releases. Meanwhile, Jim Caviezel dished on the struggles that his character Reese will undergo in what is likely to be the show's season finale on TV.
In an interview with Yahoo! TV, Caviezel unveiled that Reese will continue struggling in "POI" season 5. The star admitted that his character will have a difficult time to start afresh with Iris after losing Carter.
Caviezel said, "You go back to Jessica: the possibility that he could have a real relationship - a second one. With Carter, he missed it and there's a great fear there."
Michael Emerson said that Finch will also go through similar difficulties. His character Finch has always tried to distant himself from the Machine. However, Finch will realize that he has become emotionally linked to the Machine after hearing it speak to him.
Other reports about "POI" season 5 show that many fans are increasingly concerned about the future of the show. According to reports, the show is headed for a chopping block, particularly with the reduced number of episode counts in season 5, in addition to the delay in the release date of the next season.
It was initially rumored that "POI" season 5 launch date would be in December 2015. However, CBS announced its lineup and left of "Person of Interest."
Glenn Geller, the president of CBS, recently confirmed that the show will come out this spring, but fans are eager to know the exact release date.
for those eagerly awaiting to see the next installment of "POI," Change Org revealed that there is now a petition going on. The purpose is to have CBS add more episodes to "Person of Interest," or if CBS will cancel the show after season 5, another network such as NBC, Netflix, CW, or Hulu should pick it up.
