"Empire" season 2 could see the end of Trai Byers' Andre, but not in the way that you might expect.
In the teaser released for the second half of the hit FOX series, it was revealed that Andre's husband Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) might have just been killed off.
According to TV Line's Michael Ausiello, Andre will go through a difficult time on the show, and his illness may recur like never before.
"Well, based on his body language in Fox's teaser for season 2B, you should at least be moderately concerned. Whatever the result of his pregnant wife Rhonda getting brutally shoved down a staircase in the show's Winter Finale, though, Andre can perhaps look forward to a little more civility between his mom and dad going forward," he said.
Meanwhile, "Empire" season 2 may no longer see the return of Laz Delgado after what she did to Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson).
"I wouldn't assume Laz is dead, but I'd assume that he got hurt pretty badly. And I would say he's dead to Cookie - you can't do that to Cookie and expect to ever live another day in her eyes," Ausiello said.
In other news, there is also hope for a reunion for Cookie and her husband Lucious (Terrence P. Howard).
The teaser for season 2B showed the estranged couple hugging each other after Mimi took over Empire Entertainment.
According to executive producer Ilene Chaiken, the couple's long hug was "a very big moment for us, and a reminder of inextricable bond those two will always share - and rediscover from time to time - especially in moments of adversity," she said.
"Empire" season 2 will return to FOX on Mar. 30.
