Mercurial team Watford FC (10-11-7, 37 points) will try to be more consistent with their game as they face surprise league leaders Leicester City FC (16-3-9, 57 points) at their home field of Vicarage Road on March 5th, Saturday as the 2015-2016 Premier League season moves forward.
After a win against Crystal Palace and draw with Bournemouth in the last two matchdays, Watford dropped a 1-0 decision to struggling powerhouse squad Manchester United at the Old Trafford on Wednesday, as reported by SkySports.
Quique Sánchez Flores' boys could not find the back of David De Gea's net in the entire match as the young defensive line of the Red Devils, which featured 22-year-old Guillermo Varela and 18-year-old Timothy Fosu-Mensah, helped pull off the clean sheet for the Spaniard number one.
It was 27-year-old Spanish winger Juan Mata who scored the winner for Untied, though, as young guns Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford was kept quiet by the Hornets during the game.
The loss slumped Watford to 12th place in the league table, nine points away from the sixth spot qualification to the Europa League held by West Ham United.
Meanwhile, Leicester was held to a 2-2 draw by lowly club West Bromwich Albion at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday, as per BBC Sport.
West Brom's Venezuelan forward Salomon Rondón struck first at the 11th minute to rattle Claudio Ranieri's boys early at their home field.
However, the Foxes will not be easy to shake as they struck the next two goals, courtesy of midfielders Danny Drinkwater and Andy King at the 30th and 45th+1 minutes respectively, to claim the upper hand, 2-1, during the halftime break.
Leicester's lead was short-lived, though, as the Baggies quickly equalized the count five minutes into the second half with a curling shot into the top corner of the goal from midfielder Craig Gardner.
From there, both squads were not able to score a winner as they settled to share a point each in the overall standings.
With the tie, the Foxes failed to increase their lead over second-running team Tottenham Hotspur, which now stands at three points.
The predicted result is a 2-0 decision for Leicester City. Ranieri and his crew will come back to their winning form to tighten their grip on league leadership.
