Second-running team SSC Napoli (17-3-7, 58 points) will look to get back into winning form after three straight winless matchdays in the Italian top flight as it hosts middling squad AC Chievo Verona (9-11-7, 34 points) at the Stadio San Paolo on Saturday, March 5th in a 2015-2016 Serie A game.
Napoli settled for a 1-1 draw with another contending squad, ACF Fiorentina, on Monday at the Stadio Artemio Franchi as it failed to find a victory in their last three outings, as per BBC Sport.
Fiorentina left back Marcos Alonso netted the opening goal of the match at the sixth minute with a header before Serie A top scorer Gonzalo Higuaín scored his 25th goal of the season to level the count for I Ciucciarelli.
Both teams went goalless during the rest of the match as Partenopei survived two aggressive moves by Viola that both hit the bar.
Maurizio Sarri's squad could have gotten the winner late in the match, but striker Lorenzo Insigne was denied from close range to complete the tie and share a point in the overall standings.
The draw was Napoli's second straight after a loss to defending champs Juventus on Feb. 13. Prior to that Gli Azzurri stringed together eight straight wins since December of last year. The draw also made the team fail to come within a point of Juve in the current league table.
Meanwhile, tenth-placed team Chievo nipped lowly Genoa CFC at their home field of Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi in Verona last Sunday to snatch their first win in three games, via SkySports.
Gialloblu midfielder Lucas Castro pulled off a successful header from the left side of the box, which proved to be the winner, at the 51st after a scoreless first half.
The win was the first for head coach Rolando Maran's men since their 2-1 victory over Torino on Feb. 7.
The predicted result is a 3-1 rout for Napoli to bounce back from their three-game setback.
