"The Boy Next Door" leading lady Jennifer Lopez is on the spotlight as she gets lots of grilling interviews about dating younger men. When 45-year-old Lopez dated 27-year-old Casper Smart for two years and six months, people instantly labeled her as a "cougar," according to Hollywood Life.
As Lopez promotes her latest film, "The Boy Next Door", where her character is a high school teacher who fell for her student-neighbor who happens to be an obsessive stalker, Lopez has been going through interviews asking how it is to date younger men based on her past experiences. She claims that in real or reel life, dating younger men is still found inappropriate.
"I think it's more taboo in life," she said. "I think it's something that at this point seems silly, but really is something that's kind of the stereotypes that we're dealing with of men and women."
She also gave some wise hints about why people cheat on their partners, that it is not about oneself but it is about making a bad choice, BET reported.
Lopez stars in the upcoming movie together with Ryan Guzman, who plays the high school student-stalker in the film. In one of the interviews with Ellen de Generes, she was asked if something was going on between them to which she swore "No."
She admits that she does not see anything wrong with dating a younger guy. If a younger guy is interested with an older woman, then it is no big deal.
