Following this photo Bieber posted on his account which reads "Still the champ", Bieber then went on to post a video of him toasting to McGregor, saying "To McGregor. He's still the champ. That broke my heart."

Bieber then proceeded to praise McGregor's fighting style while taking a dig at Diaz'.

"No bandwagon, but Conor is a true champion, fights with style and finesse, all the respect to Nate but his style is terrible. Nate has crazy heart respect," Bieber said.
Diaz obviously got wind of Bieber's sentiments on social media and made it a point to post his own rhetorical. Diaz posted a cartoon image of himself slapping Bieber across the face with a caption that reads, "Bieber's a hater."

Fans and observers alike rejoiced at Diaz' win over McGregor just this weekend, after McGregor had quickly taken the entire organization by storm following his success in the promotion's featherweight division.

McGregor was originally scheduled to face UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, but the latter had to pull out of the fight at the last minute citing a broken foot. Diaz stepped in to replace dos Anjos on just 11 days' notice, without any training camp whatsoever.

With only a few days to prepare for the most high-profile bout of his career, Diaz and McGregor were both allowed to skirt having to cut weight for the fight because the bout was sanctioned at welterweight, a full one to two weight classes north of both Diaz and McGregor's normal competition weight.

McGregor entered the bout as the overwhelming favorite with only a handful of fans and observers foreseeing the upset.

With the Irishman being the better conditioned athlete, Diaz paced himself in the first round, despite being bloodied and beat up by McGregor. In the second round, McGregor slowed down and Diaz capitalized, landing a monstrous left hand that stunned McGregor. Moments later, Diaz and McGregor hit the ground and Diaz finished the fight with a rear naked choke.
