Tom DeLonge and Blink 182 band mates are not in a friendly situation due to DeLonge's rumors of leaving the band. On Jan. 26, Monday, Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus insinuated that DeLonge will soon depart from the band, and announced to get a temporary vocalist from another band to complete the trio for the upcoming live gig, according to Ace Showbiz.
The trio has been in hot situation since DeLonge separated from the two. Hoppus and Barker disclosed a statement affirming that the co-founder DeLonge has left the band indefinitely, and Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio will be doing the vocals to replace the singer-guitarist in the upcoming Musink Festival on March 20-22 at the OC Fair & Events Center in Costa Mesa, California.
In lieu to this, DeLonge posted on his Instagram opposing the said statement saying he never quit the band.
In an exclusive Rolling Stone interview, Barker and Hoppus revealed the band's ongoing frustrations and album delays.
The two remaining Blink 182 members disclosed that they were to record a new album when DeLonge told them he did not want to work with the band anymore. Hoppus feels the singer is being ungrateful and disrespectful of others when he sent an Instagram post to deny his exit from the band.
"It's hard to cover for someone who's disrespectful and ungrateful," Hoppus explained. "You don't even have the balls to call your band mates and tell them you're not going to record or do anything Blink-related. You have your manager do it."
