"StarCraft 2: Nova Covert Ops" is the first proper DLC made for a "StarCraft" game that has finally been given a release date. The mission pack will include three batches of missions with its first one scheduled for launch on March 29.
The schedule of "StarCraft 2: Nova Covert Ops" release is basically earlier than what Blizzard, the developer, has made everyone believe when they promised to do it in the first half of this year, implying a release sometime in June. For "StarCraft 2" fans, the entire mission pack is reportedly worthy of a pre-order because it will offer a significant discount.
The "StarCraft 2: Nova Covert Ops" will be a stand-alone release, as it will neither need the "StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void" final expansion nor the "StarCraft 2" in order to be played. However, if the gameplay decides to release with either "StarCraft 2" or "Ghosts," now is the perfect time, Eurogamer reported. For now, the only thing required is the game's free demo version, the "StarCraft 2 Starter" edition.
The upcoming "StarCraft 2: Nova Covert Ops" DLC will be focusing on Nova, the Terran Ghost that has appeared several times throughout the entire "StarCraft 2." However this time, she will be bound to secure the Terran Dominion, which is under the Valerian Mengsk, against an array of Terran rebels and upstarts.
According to its game developer Blizzard, the campaign will have activities like intercepting the planetary invasions, infiltrating the enemy camps, leveraging an experimental technology as well as highly confidential operations. Moreover, the "StarCraft 2: Nova Covert Ops" mission pack is going to feature plenty of new features that have never been seen before, iDigital Times reported.
In addition, Blizzard has also made a commitment to bring the first mission pack by June 19, while the entire pack is promised to be released on Dec. 1.
"StarCraft 2: Nova Covert Ops" mission pack will be available for $7.50 each. Pre-ordering the entire pack can provide the players all three sets, with nine total missions for the price of $14.99, a discount worth considering, especially for the huge single-player fan of the game.
