The highly anticipated "Attack on Titan" Season 2 has been delayed since series director Tetsuro Araki and manga creator Hajime Isayama have decided to halt production unless the manga is four story arcs ahead.
With just two full arcs complete in the manga since Season 1 finale, fans of the anime will have to wait a bit longer. Furthermore, with the director and creator's decision, manga enthusiasts could at least be rest assured that the second installment would be comparable in quality and depth with the acclaimed Season 1.
"Attack on Titan" Season 2 will follow the events of the manga very closely, and there is a possibility that Season 2 will open with a bang. With the events of the manga put into consideration, the first arc of Season 2 might very well be the most intense arc of the anime ever, according to Headlines & Global News. Following the brutal combat between Eren's Rogue Titan and Anime's Female Titan in Wall Sina, the next arc is fittingly called "Clash of Titans" story.
The "Clash of Titans" arc is one of the most intense arcs that the manga has so far featured. The arc covers chapter 38 to 50, and it will explore the real identities of Armored Titan and the Colossal Titan, besides introducing the manga's most powerful villain, the Beast Titan.
However, the arc does not just focus on revelations since it is also home to some of the most memorable battles in the manga series. It comprises battles featuring the members of the 104th squad like Sasha, who fights a titan with a bow and arrow without her 3D Maneuver Gear. Sasha literally battles a 3-meter class titan with his bare hands.
The best battle of the arc involves Eren Yeager, whose titan form is set to go into an all-out, one-on-one combat with Armored Titan. In the series, the fight between the two great titans was a spectacle to read. Animated, the fight will surpass the intensity of the Rogue and Female Titan's fight in the Forest of Giant Trees in season 1, according to MNR Daily.
The "Clash of Titan" arc wraps up with the same energy as its beginning. In the final chapter of the manga, Eren is set to face the same titan who murdered his mother, and he discovers the power that may turn the wave of the battle between humans and titans forever.
