New details for "Watch Dogs 2" will feature a DirectX 12 and optimized AMD GPUs for the PC, E3 2016 debut and April 2017 launch date.
Twitter username Roy Taylor tweeted an image of "Watch Dogs 2's" to feature DirectX 12 support and highly optimized AMD GPUs for the its PC version. A big change for the open-world hacking video game sequel as Ubisoft used NVIDIA Gameworks tool set in developing the first "Watch Dogs" game for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as the PC version.
Unfortunately, the partnership between AMD and NVIDIA did not go so well as AMD's representative Robert Hallock stated that GameWorks represents a clear and present threat to gamers by deliberately crippling performance on AMD products by 40 percent in the market and it widen the margin in favor of NVIDIA products.
NVIDIA on the other hand, denied any allegations as the company's representative Cem Cebenoyan stated that there is nothing in GameWorks that deliberately harms AMD performance and added that AMD's assertion that using GameWorks means developers cannot accept AMD suggestions, Gamespot reported.
In other news, several rumors are making rounds that Ubisoft will likely debut "Watch Dogs 2" at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo as the video game publisher will feature a new gameplay features for th sequel and it will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, unlike the first game which started in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, The Rebel reported.
It is speculated that Ubisoft will have "Watch Dogs 2" launch in 2017 before the month of April. Ubisoft made the decision as part of their third quarter financial report and it detailed the current outlook of the company for the fiscal year and beyond. Some of the company's line-up of video game titles include "For Honor", "South Park: The Fractured But Whole", "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands and "Watch Dogs 2".
"Watch Dogs 2" will feature a new city, game features and possibly a new protagnist replacing Aiden Pierce. The sequel will take place in San Francisco and it will feature a "Morality" system which enables gamer's to make the best decision within the game and their decision determines the pace of the story.
Several gaming fans suggested that "Watch Dogs 2" should have a protagonist who has a unique personality with less experience in combat, unlike Aiden Pierce. Previous rumors claim that the sequel could have more than one character ad can switch into one of them similar to "Grand Theft Auto 5". Aiden Pierce could still be in "Watch Dogs 2" as some sort of mentor or possibly the antagonist in the game.
"Watch Dogs 2" will release sometime in 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and possible in the PC platform.
