New "Street Fighter 5" details will feature a new stage for the game soon and the launching of the new DLC update this week.
Capcom announced that season pass holders of "Street Fighter 5" will be getting a new battle stage for the sequel soon and it will be for free, EventHubs reported. In addition, Capcom added that gamers who have not yet purchased the season pass of the game will have two DLC story mode costumes for Chun-Li and Ryu for free on March 30.
The March DLC update for "Street Fighter 5" will be available this week as Capcom revealed many gameplay features, online updates and a the new DLC character, Alex for the sequel. The DLC update will be divided into two patches starting on March 28 and the second update will be on March 30.
The first update will include"Challenge Mode", "Trials", "Online Rematch Options", improvements on the Battle Lounge and various bug fixes within "Street Fighter 5". The new "Challenge Mode" will contain several options such as "Demonstrations", "Beginner Tutorials", Intermediate Tutorials" and "Advanced Tutorials" for gamers to learn basic and advance techniques in "Street Fighter 5". "Trials" will have gamers put their skills to the test as it features combo trials for all 16 characters in the roster."Online Rematch Option" allows gamers to challenge their opponents again in a rematch with 2/3 sets in Ranked and Casual matches.
The second update will have feature Alex in "Street Fighter 5's" roster and the in-game shop. However, Capcom explained that the in-game currency called "Zenny" will not be implemented yet in the game. As a result, the Alex DLC character will be available for free until they have resolve the problem. Capcom wanted to be extra careful and make sure the in-game store is fully tested and optimized before they launch it, Segment Next reported.
Alex is the first DLC character available for "Street Fighter 5" along with Juri, Balrog, Urien, Guile and Ibuki. The second DLC will have several bug fixes which include the lack of XP received by players during Casual matches and disappearing colors for the characters. There also in-game tweaks for characters M. Bison, Rashid, Vega and Chun-Li.
There are also rumors of a SteamOS and Linux versions for "Street Fighter 5" and a possible "Arcade Mode" style game mode soon.
"Street Fighter 5" is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms.
