"Mirror's Edge Catalyst" will feature the different factions and districts within the game and new game details at the EGX Rezzed 2016 event.
Electronic Arts revealed the different districts and factions that are featured in the City of Glass for "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" as the information will give gamers a chance to know more about the Faith Connor's world and the key players in the game's plot.
According to the FY47 census, Glass boasts close to five million citizens, making it the third largest city in Cascadia. The city is divided into three different districts: Anchor, Downtown and the View, PlayStationLifeStyle reported.
The Anchor is one of the most affluent areas in the Glass city as it features many tall buildings as the proud heralds of the corporation lived here. The district is home to one of the most popular nightclubs as young citizens are often seen partying and having fun at night.
A new project within the Anchor is being constructed called "Bauble Mall" and it is said to be the most opulent shopping center in Cascadia , which is a true monument to the success of the conglomerate way of life.
The next district is Downtown, located in the very center of Glass and it stands as the most modernized center within the city. Downtown will feature several boutiques and famous sites such as Elysium Corporation building, home to the world’s leading medical research professionals.
Downtown is also home for the Runners as they are seen doing illegal activities and are often found at rooftops escaping KrugerSec personnel.
The last district in "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" is the View, a prosperous residential area dedicated to “upwardly mobile” citizens and considered to be the final step before getting invited to Sky City. Citizens who wished to go out in the busy and harsh life within the Anchor and Downtown could go here to reste and relax.
The district features seaside promenade, picnic, and the Marina for families and children to enjoy.
Aside from the three districts, "Mirror's Edge Catayst" will also have three sets of factions within Glass city and these are the Runners, the Conglamorate and Black November.
The Runners are a special group off voluntary offGrids that oppose the Conglomerate way of living. They are often seen on roof tops and in a large group often racing each other on buildings performing acts of burglary and courier jobs.
The Corporate Houses secretly depend on the Runners for their constant scheming and though KrugerSec are given orders to neutralize any of them on sight, some claim that they are not clamping down as hard on them as they could.
The Conglomerate are composed of 13 corporations, each run by a family member or a corporate house that rule over Cascadia. The houses are locked in corporate power struggles as they are willing to go through extreme lengths to to advance in the hierarchy. These corporations include KrugerSec, Silvine Systems, and Elysium Corp.
The last faction is called Black November, a resistance movement led by Rebecca Thane. Rebecca was once a prominent protest leader, who has turned violent during the November riots two decades before the game. The group is constantly hunted by KrugerSec as they terrorized the authority and incite a revolution amongst the citizens.
The group strives on to avoid any civilian casualties, but lately Rebecca has been hinting that all regular employs are silent supporters of the Conglomerate and the tyranny, thus making them a target to their cause.
