Another singer-songwriter is joining the fray of comebacks this spring, as C-JeS Entertainment announces that JYJ's Junsu, otherwise known as Xia, is set to come back with the release of his fourth full-length comeback album.
The news broke out after a surprise preview video announcing his newest comeback was shown during the final section of Junsu's solo concert in Japan called "2016 XIA The Best Ballad Spring Tour Concert Vol.2." In the video, it showed a preview of what is in store on his comeback.
"It is true that he's [Jun Su] making a return this spring," Soompi quoted a representative from the agency as saying.
After too long away, the South Korean singer-songwriter, who brought the likes of "Kanashimi no Yukue" and "Too Love," returns. The 29-year-old JunSu will concentrate on his album production as soon as his current Japan tour is finished.
In addition, JunSu will set off on another Asia tour in June, kicking off in Seoul, Nagoya, Kobe, and Yokohama. Meanwhile, Junsu's solo concert in Tokyo and Nagoya is said to mobilize around 30,000 audience members, The Star Daily News reported.
Junsu made his debut as a member of a boy band named Tong VFang Xien Qi (TVXQ) in 2003. However, he was involved in a controversy in 2009, after TVXQ filed a lawsuit against their former agency, SM Entertainment, for contract nullification.
In 2010, Junsu began to venture in his solo career with the release of a Japanese single titled "Xiah." His solo debut was met with great response, as he has been dubbed by South Korean media as "The Ticket Power," after he sells out tickets for his concerts and musicals within several minutes.
To date, the details about the upcoming album and the said Asia tour concert are still being kept under wraps. Watch Junsu performs "Yesterday" in a music video below:
