The CW's fan-favourite series "Supernatural" has been on air for almost 11 seasons, originally debuting on The WB in the year 2005. Often the question arises, when and how the show will come to an end despite its decent ratings over the years. Meanwhile, Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) and Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) recently talked about how the series should come to an end.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Ackles said that the show may take unexpected roads before it closes. "As we've evolved, I think that there's different roads that the show could certainly go down that would be interesting. I think we've taken some really good turns," Ackles told the publication.
In addition, the "Supernatural" actor states that the Winchester brothers are not going to stop fighting for good. The show may come to an end, but "we're going to have to see them continue to do good together," according to Ackles.
However, the actor does not rule out the possibility of the death of one of the brothers. "It's either going to end tragic or it's going to end not tragic, and I can kind of make an argument for both. I don't really know where it's going to go. I always thought Dean would make the ultimate sacrifice for his brother. I guess if I had to choose something, that's probably what I would choose," Ackles added.
As for Padalecki, he said that they might die or they might live, however, they are "going to go in the blaze of glory." So, it is safe to assume that Sam or Dean, neither would be retiring from hunting. They are going to continue to save the world for as long as they live. While these are the actors' thoughts, what happens actually remains uncertain.
Meanwhile, the series is not ending yet. Recently, "Supernatural" was renewed for Season 12 that is expected to air towards the end of this year.
