At present, users of Nexus are testing out Android N Developer Preview on the devices. Speculations are doing the rounds that the Android N Developer preview will be available for Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 6, which will be launched in August or September, will come preinstalled with Android N, Digital Trends reported.
Recent reports claim that Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 will be updated with Android N after it is completely unveiled. Samsung Galaxy S5 will also get the Android N update.
The Android N Developer Preview is available for Pixel C, Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus 5X.
The Android N is expected to come with several new features that all the users will like using. Some of the features of the operating system include enhanced Doze mode, multi-window mode, Freeform window mode, revamped notification panel, faster app optimization and new data saver feature, BGR reported.
Meanwhile, several reports suggest that Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S5. The update is also now rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy S6 on Verizon. Users of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and S6 on Sprint and T-Mobile should have the update.
The Android 6.0.1 update is beginning to roll out to Samsung Galaxy S5 in the United States and Korea.
Also, users of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 on Sprint have been getting Android M. The mobile carrier Verizon has rolled out the Android Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy Note 5. On the other hand, T-Mobile, AT&T and US Cellular are testing the Android Marshmallow update.
Android Marshmallow has been around for about six months, but the OS has yet to reach volumes of handsets. App permissions, Fingerprint support, Now on Tap and Doze are some of the features of the operating system.
