A part 2 of the MayPac fight - this is what the fans are rooting for, after seeing the 8-division world champion dominate the fight against Timothy Bradley in their recent clash on April 9.
Manny Pacquiao fought well and he clearly controlled the fight. Although Bradley had his moments, Pacquiao never fails to steal the round from him. Pacman even put Bradley down to the canvass twice, and the round 9 knockdown was the highlight of the night. In fairness for Bradley, the guy fought well with all his heart on it, but it seems like Pacquiao was just the best fighter that night and that team Pacquiao demolished team Bradley's strategic plan, which resulted to a unanimous decision in favor for Pacman.
Unlike the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight in 2015, Pacman's fight with Bradley sparked little buzz, and a few fans even concluded that the fight would not be a good one. While in regards to MayPac, even days after its confirmation, it has sold out all of its tickets already.
Mayweather-Pacquiao fight was also branded as the "Fight of the Century" and the biggest fight fans would see. In fact, the fight was the most anticipated clash in the boxing world since Ali and Frazier's "Thrilla in Manila"; however, the clash turned out to be a bust. The boxing fans, as well as the analysts, said that Floyd Mayweather's strategy of somehow refusing to have an exchange of punches was the reason why the fight turned into a disappointment.
Perhaps, it seems like the Pacquiao-Bradley 3, which was first considered to be a boring one, deserves an applause as it was clearly a better fight than the MayPac bout. On one hand, although fans and analysts did witnessed what happened to the MayPac fight, they still would want to see the two inside the same ring.
Mayweather retired in 2015, and Pacquiao also said that his fight with Bradley could be his last.
Considering that the two boxing superstars have decided to end their career, it would be really interesting if someone from the boxing world can pull off the MayPac 2. A lot of fans are rooting for a sequel of the Mayweather-Pacquiao battle, because this might be the last card to help the drowning sport of boxing.
