The NBA Playoffs are heating up and officiating is being scrutinized. The Golden State Warriors seem to be getting away with murder in the NBA playoffs, specifically Draymond Green. In their first loss at home, Green was throwing bodies all around in the last possession. He knocked over Marcus Smart in a WWE style move.
This was earlier in the month and the Boston Celtics came away with the win that broke the Warriors' historic streak at the Oracle Arena. Now, there's another similar move that was not noticed at the end of Game 3 of the first-round series of the Golden State Warrriors and Houston Rockets. He was seen grappling Michael Beasley in a move that would be great in the UFC but was all sorts of illegal when you're playing basketball.
To be fair, Green did not exactly get away with that move.
In an ESPN report, it was mentioned that the NBA will charge him with a Flagrant foul-1.
"The NBA also said it had reviewed Green's end-of-game conduct -- in which, with one second left, he took Houston's Michael Beasley to the ground as the Rockets were trying to inbound the ball to run out the clock -- and had issued the Warriors forward a flagrant foul 1, the milder of the flagrant fouls in which the opponent would be awarded two free throws and possession of the ball."
The report, however, was primarily about the missed call on James Harden's final, game-winning shot which should not have happened at all.
"The NBA came down harshly Friday in its review of the officials' crunch-time calls -- or lack thereof -- in the Houston Rockets' Game 3, 97-96 win over the Golden State Warriors, saying James Harden's game-winning shot should not have counted."
Meanwhile, their rivals from the other conference is not getting too many calls in his favor. The Cleveland Cavaliers are comfortably ahead but that does not mean they are having it easy. This elbow from Andre Drummond went right at LeBron James and no call was made.
