Juventus had officially won its fifth straight Scudetto after Roma 1-0 win over second-running team Napoli last Monday at the Stadio Olimpico during Gonzalo Higuaín's comeback game. With three matchdays left in the season, there would be no way for Gli Azzurri to overtake Juve, who are currently 12 points ahead of everybody in the overall standings.

The champions came off a 2-1 victory over another contending squad, ACF Fiorentina, on the road at the Stadio Artemio Franchi last Sunday, as reported by Goal.

La Vecchia Signora started scoring with a 39th minute goal from Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic off a headed pass from French midfielder Paul Pogba.

The game went scoreless for quite some time before Viola forward Nikola Kalinic right-footed a shot from just outside the box into Gianluigi Buffon's net with only nine minutes remaining before full time.

However, Juve immediately scored the game-winner two minutes later as Spanish striker Alvaro Morata struck a close range shot after a corner kick.

Meanwhile, Carpi is trying to get out of the relegation race with a three-game unbeaten run as of the moment. They are currently at the 17th spot of the league table, three points above the bottom three relegation zone and there is still a chance of demotion if they will not be able to win as many as they can in their last three matches.

In their last match, Carpi won a red card-marred game versus Empoli, 1-0, at their home field of Stadio Alberto Braglia on Monday, as per Football Italia.

Italian striker Kevin Lasagna provided the lone goal for Fabrizio Castori's squad at the 84th minute to hand 10-man Empoli their third loss in their last six outings.

Two red card were given in the contest, one each for Carpi and Empoli, with Levan Mchedlidze being sent off at the 25th for violent conduct while Lorenzo Lollo was out at the stroke of full time after getting booked a second yellow.

The predicted result is a 2-0 win for Juventus.
