People magazine has been called out by Serena Williams' Instagram followers after they noticed that something was off about one of her recent snaps.
The 34-year-old player, who has more than 3 million followers on the photo-sharing app, shared the corresponding photo shoot that made her this year's one of the World's Most Beautiful Woman, on April 28, Thursday.
In the photo, Williams' strikes a sultry pose showing her clad in a black figure-hugging bathing suit while holding a bar over her head. The photo immediately earned more than 41,000 likes.

However, not everyone was taken by the stunning photoshoot. Many of her followers pointed out that Williams' bizarre body shape in the picture was heavily edited to the point that her real beauty was distorted and stressed that the magazine photoshopped her photo to thin down her legs and curves.
"I love her, but the bar behind her waist is so warped. How disappointing," one user commented on the picture on Instagram.
While the magazine has not yet responded to The Daily Mail's request for comment, others rushed to defend the tennis player, asserting that some bodies are naturally that curvy.
The tennis champ first sparked "Photoshop fails" controversy in 2015, wherein she was named as Sports Illustrated's 2015 Sportsperson of the Year and graced the magazine's cover, The Sun has learned. After the cover debuted, critics were keen to accuse the magazine of photoshopping Williams' athletic thighs, making them appear significantly smaller.
Nonetheless, the magazine applauded Williams for being the best female tennis player of all time, and as well as for making headlines throughout the entire year in entertainment, culture, fashion and even politics. Williams, on the other hand, gushed about how thankful she is.
"This year was spectacular for me. For Sports Illustrated to recognize my hard work, my dedication, and my sheer determination gives me hope to continue on and do better," a portion of the magazine reads, as cited by The Daily Mail.
