A day after “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki lost to fellow South Korean celebrity Park Hae Jin in a survey among female college students of Seoul Arts College as Best Husband Material, on Saturday, he was leading over another popular actor in different online poll.
The 30-year-old actor, now the most popular actor in China and South Korea, got 64 percent or 1,705 votes in the online poll of AllKpop on who wore better a blue Louis Vuitton shirt. His competitor is popular singer and actor Rain who got 36 percent, or 971 votes as of this writing.
Song Joong-ki modeled the shirt for the April 2016 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Korea where he was the cover boy. Rain wore it for a feature on Cosmopolitan.
The shirt is a silk, patterned button down Louis Vuitton which is adorned with cherry blossoms and cranes. The shirt is considered a perfect summer attire, noted AllKpop writer Jubilantj who wrote that the “Descendants of the Sun” styled it more casually by pairing it with baggy jeans.
Rain, meanwhile, used the entire outfit, including the matching short with the same design. He paired the outfit with a pair of white slip-ons, while Song Joong-ki’s feet are not visible.
Jubilantj prefers the styling done on Rain because the entire outfit was apparently more fitted and suave, while the shirt seems to be a bit too large for Song Joong-ki. The writer also thought that pairing the shirt with baggy jeans is sloppy styling which makes it look like the actor was ready to go to sleep. However, Jubilantj admitted the assessment would likely go against popular opinion which the poll results just confirmed.
The same shirt was also modeled by Sang Woo Kim, while former One Direction member Zayn Malik wore a similar design for Vogue.
