Boku no Hero Academia Episode 5: "Smashing into Academia" - the Quirk Apprehension Test commences - Izuku Modiriya finally realized his goal. He got admitted to the most prestigious school aspiring heroes - U.I. However, the next phase of his dream of becoming the greatest hero is just about to begin.
Episode 5 Summary Recap:
-Izuku meets All Might at the beach, where he's congratulated by his superhero idol. There All Might advises his protégé to keep adjusting to the power of All for One, if he wants to harness its full power in the future.
-Izuku now leaves his mom to start his new journey as student of U.I. He then finds out that he's assigned to Class 1-A along with his longtime rival Katzuki, Tenya (the person wearing glasses in the past two episodes), and the girl he saved during the entrance exam.
-Shouta Aizawa, who is also known in his hero's name as Eraserhead, soon enters the class and introduces himself as the homeroom teacher for Class 1-A. He then instructs the students to wear their P.E uniforms and go straight to the field, where they will have a Quirk apprehension exam.
-During the Quirk Apprehension exam, students are complied to undergo a series of tests such as 50 metre dash, the Grip Strength Test, the Standing Long Jump, the Sustained Sideways Jump and the final test the Pitch.
-Izuku miserably fails in his last exam, realizing that there's a reason why he can't use his quirk. There, Shouta reveals his identity as Eraserhead, the hero who has the power to cancel Quirks. The teacher explains that he doesn't need to use his Quirk if he's just going to be a burden for his teammates.
However, Izuku proved him wrong the second time he pitched the ball as he concentrated his Quirk in his fingertips, giving him a much needed boost to score the highest mark in the exam and proving to Shouta that he can use his power without being a burden to others.
Episode 6 preview:
-Katsuki realized that Izuku, the person he bullied and called Deku all this time, actually possesses a quirk. Feeling betrayed for his rival's deception all this time, the enrage Katsuki charges at Izuku, wanting explanation for hiding his quirk from him all this time. Shouta enters the scene and pacifies the tension between the two U.I students.
-Izuku, who easily becomes the star of the class after Day 1, befriends with Tanya and Ochako. On Day 2, All Might appears himself before the class as the Foundation Heroic Studies teacher. He explains that to become a full-fledged heroes, they should undergo several trials, including the Trial of Battle. But before that, he orders the class to get change into their Heroes costumes.
-With everybody in their costumes, the Trial of Battle - featuring Katsuki vs. Izuku begins.
