"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 7 ended with an explosive finale wherein Sam Hannah works to protect his son and his son's school that has been taken hostage by extremists group. Meanwhile, fans are already wondering when CBS' police procedural will return for Season 8.
Recently, CBS confirmed "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8. However, the exact premiere date for the show is yet to be announced. But if the network follows the schedule for series' previous seasons, it is expected to go on air with episode 1 sometime in September or October, according to Cartermatt.
Meanwhile, the website speculates that the "NCIS: Los Angeles" Monday spot might be given to some other show and it could be given a new time slot. However, there is no confirmation. It is mere speculation.
On March 25, CBS released the list of its renewed series which includes "NCIS: New Orleans, " NCIS" and "NCIS: Los Angeles," according to TV Line.
So what to expect from "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8 episode 1? It is way too early to expect synopsis or plot details for the premiere of the show. There is no information available for the eighth season of the series.

In "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 7 finale, the show focuses on Agent Sam, who receives a distress call and coded message from his son, Aiden. Aiden studies in a San Francisco school which has been taken hostage by a terrorist group.
The episode saw the return of Tahir Khaled, the leader of a terrorist organisation. During the mission, Sam is forced to make some hard decisions and deals with the feeling of guilt for not being able to protect his family.
"Obviously it's a very personal [episode] because it involves Sam and his son, and the return of Tahir, and Sam basically putting this threat to bed once and for all, and our team sort of rallying to make that happen," Scott Gemill tells TV Guide while talking about "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 7 finale.
