In the previous episode, the Naval Criminal Investigative Services team investigated the death of a firefighter in a Navy SCIF. Callen and Sam go undercover to solve the case and catch the criminal.
In "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 7 episode 24, which happens to be the finale, will see Sam's son's school taken hostage by an extremist group. According to the synopsis for "Talion" by Spoiler TV, Sam will receive a coded message from his son Aiden, who is studying in a San Francisco school. The coded message means he is in danger and needs help.
Sam and the other team members head to San Francisco to save Sam and other hostages from clutches of the members of an extremist group.
In an interview with TV Guide, "NCIS: Los Angeles" executive producer Scott Gemmill teased what to expect from the Season 7 finale. "Sam gets a text message from his son that is sort of a coded panic password that tells him his son is in serious trouble," Gemill said.
According to the EP, Sam if forced to make some hard yet spontaneous decisions. "Sam gets pushed to a point where he has to make a decision about whether to finish something once and for all and how he's going to do that," he added.
Also, it is reported that the episode takes place mostly at night time, almost in real time. Fans must brace themselves for an intense storyline as Sam will be seen dealing with "feelings of guilt about his ability to keep his family safe." Things are only going to get personal.
In addition, the finale will see the return of Tahir Khaled, the head of a terrorist network. Sam wishes to put the problem to an end for once and for all.
