"Selma" star Oprah Winfrey could hardly find the words to explain how sad she feels about the condition of Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, the only daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston.
When a photographer told her about the doctors' recommendation of removing Bobbi Kristina from life support, Winfrey was on the point of tears.
"There aren't any words right now. It's a sad time," Winfrey told a group photographers at Lucques restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif. on Feb. 6, Friday, People reported.
Winfrey also admitted that she was not personally close to the Houston family. On the other hand, she said her friend Tyler Perry has been "instrumental in trying to help Bobbi Kristina" and was really supportive of Houston "when she had her troubles."
For Winfrey, the timing of Bobbi Kristina's hospitalization has nothing to do with her mother's overdose in February 2012. She said, "I don't believe there's any irony in the timing, because it's just been three years."
Bobbi Kristina was found in her bathtub in her home in Roswell, Ga. On Jan. 31 by her husband Nick Gordon Max Lomas, who was reportedly her former boyfriend and was arrested for possession of drugs and a firearm in January, Radar Online reported.
In January, Lifetime's biopic "Whitney" gained much attention amid the opposition of Houston's family. Its director Angela Bassett casted "America's Next Top Model" alum Yaya DaCosta to play the late "I Will Always Love You" hitmaker.
Written by Shem Bitterman, "Whitney" also starred Arlen Escarpeta, Mark Rolston, Hampton Fluker, Wesley Jonathan, James A. Watson Jr., Yolonda Ross, Suzzanne Douglas, Saundra McClain, Kevontay Jackson, Deborah Joy Winans, JR Lemon and Nafessa Williams, among others.
