First impressions and preliminary reviews started to come out as the new Photos app service by Apple was released to OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 beta developers earlier in the week. iPhoto was recently replaced by a new and more improved Photos service by Apple.
First-hand reviews and first impressions of the developers and testers on Photos for OS X app were encouraged to be published. The Photos for OS X app is a combination of iPhoto and Aperture into one for OS X Yosemite, Mac Rumors reported.
The new Photos app is a great improvement and easier to use that iPhoto which is much confusing for users in the Apple ecosystem. It is also comfortable to use since the improved iCloud-based approach, plus a snappier performance compared to iPhoto on the Apple-provided demo notebook.
Another impressive feature of the Photos for OS X app is its newly built photo editing features. On the other hand, while most Mac users will be in favor of the Photos app, some professionals may still like to use the Adobe Lightroom tool. People who have recently converted to using Macs will find the Photos app service a simple approach to do image manipulation.
As soon as the Photos app service is available for Apple OS X users, an option will be given to each users if they wish to switch to the new app or not. A trial is also offered to existing users and they can import their photo library. Moreover, with iCloud integration, synching both app services will be smooth and easy, according to Frontline Desk.
